This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you use Roewan (roewan.com, api.roewan.com, and related services).

2. What we collect

• Account data: name, username, email, password (hashed), profile info, settings.
• Transaction data: order details, prices, Creator/Customer IDs, payout information.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers or bank details. Stripe may collect identity/KYC data for Creators.
• Communications & content: messages, briefs, uploads, feedback.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser, cookies, analytics events, logs.
• Support: tickets, emails, and related metadata.

3. How we use data

• Provide and improve the marketplace, authenticate users, deliver files, and enable payments & payouts.
• Prevent fraud/abuse, enforce our policies, and secure the platform.
• Provide support, notifications, and service updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and tax/accounting requirements.
• With consent or as permitted by law, send product updates and relevant communications (you may opt out).

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We process data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (platform safety, improvements), to comply with law, and/or with your consent.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure performance. You can control cookies via your browser; disabling essential cookies may limit functionality.

6. Sharing

We share data with:

• Stripe (payments/payouts and, for Creators, identity verification/KYC).
• Service providers (hosting, email, storage, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention) under contracts that protect your data.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law or to protect rights.
• In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, as part of the transaction.

We do not sell personal information.

7. International transfers

We don't currently support users outside of the United States.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect data (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method is 100% secure; report concerns to support@roewan.com.

9. Rentention

We keep data as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal/accounting requirements and dispute resolution, then delete or anonymize it.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data; to object or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise rights, email support@roewan.com. You may also complain to your local data authority.

11. Children

Roewan is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or applicable age of consent). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us.

12. Third-party links

Our site may link to external sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

13. Changes

We will update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email where appropriate.
